Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the KmerTrash mobile application ("App") or website ("Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of Cameroon to create an account and use KmerTrash. By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

3. Description of Service

KmerTrash is a technology platform that connects households seeking waste collection services with independent waste collectors. We facilitate scheduling, tracking, and payment for waste collection jobs. KmerTrash does not itself collect waste and is not a waste collection company.

4. User Accounts

• a.You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• b.You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• c.You may not create multiple accounts or share your account with others.
• d.We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Household Users

Household users may schedule waste collection jobs, track collectors, validate completed jobs, and rate service quality. Users agree to provide accurate location information and be available at the scheduled time for pickups.

6. Waste Collectors

Collectors are independent contractors and not employees of KmerTrash. Collectors must maintain appropriate equipment, follow safe waste handling practices, and provide proof of collection (photos) for every completed job.

7. Privacy & Data Protection

We take your privacy seriously. KmerTrash collects only the data necessary to provide our services, including your name, phone number, location data, and job history. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

• •Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device.
• •You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

8. Limitation of Liability

KmerTrash provides a platform to connect users and collectors. We are not liable for the quality of waste collection services, damages caused during collection, or disputes between users and collectors. Our maximum liability shall not exceed the fees paid through the platform in the preceding 12 months.

9. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes through the App or via email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
